Meredith Prescott Bernstein, LCSW
FOUNDER & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
I believe therapy is about more than working through challenges. It's about helping you feel more connected to yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to create.
I work with adults and couples navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, neurodivergence, chronic illness, grief, parenthood, and life's many transitions. My approach is warm, thoughtful, relational, and integrative, blending psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and nervous system regulation and mind-body approaches.
Together, we'll deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen emotional resilience, and build more meaningful relationships with the people who matter most. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to create lasting change that reflects your values and the life you want to live.

MORE ABOUT MEREDITH
My Background
I've always been drawn to understanding people and the relationships that shape our lives. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and families during some of their most vulnerable moments, and each experience has reinforced my belief in our capacity to heal, grow, and find meaning through connection.
As an oncology social worker at Mount Sinai, I counseled individuals and families facing cancer and other serious illnesses. Witnessing the courage, grief, uncertainty, and resilience that accompany life's greatest challenges profoundly shaped the therapist I am today. It taught me that healing is not only about managing symptoms. It is about reconnecting with your values, strengthening relationships, and finding a way forward that feels meaningful, even in the midst of uncertainty.
My passion for understanding people also led me to work as a special needs coach, where I supported neurodivergent individuals and their families. That experience deepened my appreciation for the many ways people think, communicate, experience the world, and connect with one another. It continues to inform my work with neurodivergent individuals and couples today.
Over time, I realized that relationships are at the heart of so much of our emotional well-being. This inspired me to pursue advanced training in couples therapy so I could help partners move from disconnection to deeper understanding, trust, and connection.
These experiences also strengthened my belief that emotional and physical well-being are deeply interconnected. Our nervous system plays a powerful role in how we experience stress, relationships, chronic illness, and life's challenges. When we feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, it is often our nervous system signaling that it needs safety, support, and care.
For this reason, I integrate nervous system-informed and mind-body approaches into my work, helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences. I believe lasting healing happens when we care for the whole person, mind, body, and relationships.
